Vilcabamba: The Trip of A Lifetime

My relationship with ViaViente allowed me to experience the most amazing trip to Vilcabamba last November with Craig Keeland, Sheri Sharman and Dr. Morton Walker. For those of you that don't know, Vilcabamba is high in the Andes Mountains in a rainforest in South America. Imagine the pleasure I had of traveling to Vilcabamba with Dr. Walker, the man who went to Vilcabamba, studied the residents and wrote a book about them back in 1980.

We hiked through the rain forest to see the waterfall. It was a tough trip but one of the highlights of my life. We also visited with the precious children and the teachers of Vilcabamba. As an Ambassador for the Andes Children's Foundation I support the great work that is being done in Vilcabamba which includes completion of a new school for children who were "walking 2 hours one way" just for the privilege of going to school. The Foundation has also supplied computers, internet access and much needed school supplies.

I've learned in life that by giving to others you will receive a higher level of happiness in your own life. For me, this is especially true for my donations to the Andes Children's Foundation. All of the money donated goes directly to the children in the Vilcabamba valley. The Foundation President personally pays the legal and accounting expenses that the Andes Children's Foundation incurs so that they do not come out of any donations to the Foundation.

Please get involved with the Andes Children's Foundation as a donor and sign up for a mission trip. It will be something you will never forget. You will touch the children's lives but I suspect your own life will be touched the most. You'll also discover what many of us already know about ViaViente, that We Are More Than A Company, We Are A Cause.

Have a wonderful day!
Imo Sharman
